Neb. district brings local beef to schools

Serving locally sourced food on school lunch menus has certainly become a hot trend in the noncommercial sector.

Sidney Public School District has joined in the movement by partnering with the Cheyenne County Farm Bureau, serving local beef to its students, reports The Sun- Telegraph.

SPSD officials say the program started this school year and the beef will be served at lunch at least three times every 10 days.
