iPad orders cause problems at Virginia Tech

Multiple orders being submitted are iPads' biggest problem.

April 4—Dining services at Virginia Tech University, in Blacksburg, are reconsidering the use of iPad ordering at the Au Bon Pain located in the student center.

The iPads were introduced three months ago so customers could order sandwiches without filling out a paper order and handing it to staff, which could cause contamination. However, the ordering software on the iPads doesn't confirm when orders are submitted, which caused customers to submit multiple orders.
