Houston high school students enjoy garden-grown produce

Garden produces broccoli, Swiss chard, cabbage and lettuce.

Feb. 9—Cafeteria menus at Pearland Junior High West now feature home-grown vegetables and herbs thanks to a campus garden funded by the Pearland Rotary Club.

Freshly-harvested broccoli, Swiss chard, cabbage and lettuce have found their way onto students’ plates, while savory cilantro, rosemary, dill, oregano and parsley season lunch entrees.
