July 29—Until Aug. 31, operators can apply for the Hobart Center for Foodservice Sustainability Grant. The $5,000 grant recognizes and supports the most innovative and best-executed foodservice or grocery sustainability project of the year. The grant recipient will be selected on their success in addressing one or more of the following objectives: how the operation reduced energy/water use, how the operation reduced creation of wastewater or solid waste or how the operation implemented a farm-to-fork program or other combined programs. The grant will be presented at the 2010 Greenbuild Expo, Nov. 16-19, in Chicago.
