Greek yogurt makers consider bid for expanded school lunch pilot

BATAVIA, N.Y.—Two Batavia yogurt makers are considering a bid for the newly expanded school lunch pilot for Greek yogurt.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture will solicit proposals beginning May 20 to be included in the larger pilot, which will include 12 states. U.S. Sen. Charles E. Schumer, who announced the expansion, urged New York yogurt makers to get into the program.
