Oct. 10—Food service specialists from the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division received trophies for winning the Phillip A. Connelly Atlantic Region award and the Fort Stewart Best Mess of the Quarter award for the 4th quarter..
This is the first time in 10 years Fort Stewart, in Georgia, has had a dining facility advance to the Department of the Army level Phillip A. Connelly competition. The Vanguard soldiers will be inspected later this month as they compete against installations from around the world for the title of best dining facility in the Army.
