District introduces themed cafeterias to draw students

Mitchell School District in Mitchell, S.D., has remodeled each of its five cafeterias with a specific theme to attract students to its lunch program, The Daily Republic reports.

The district’s foodservice fund was used to pay for all the renovations, which totaled $35,000, according to FSD Leann Carmody, who noted that the district received an influx of money last year as lunch participation increased.
