Diocese contracts with Memphis schools for foodservice

Contract is worth $569,000.

Aug. 29—The Catholic Diocese of Memphis is outsourcing its school nutrition program, paying Memphis City Schools more than a half-million dollars a year to feed 1,500 students.

MCS is providing breakfast, lunches and light snacks to 12 of the diocese's schools, including eight inner-city Jubilee schools. The contract is worth $569,000.
