Citing costs, Washington Post makes cafeteria changes

Will cease full-service operations and move toward more grab and go.

Jan. 10—The fringe benefits of being a Washington Post reporter are starting to disappear. According to a company memo the company cafeteria is moving from a "full-serivce cafeteria" to a more "market style."

What's that mean? Judging from the memo, Post employees can expect a lot more salads and "pre-made sandwiches." Outside restaurants will now handle meeting catering.
