April 2—At Lodi (Calif.) Independent Schools Director of Foodservice Warren Sun wants to hire an executive chef to help lead the campaign for healthier items in his district.
However, the move is causing controversy when the district's budget concerns are considered. The position would expand the network of local food sources, design healthy and tasty menus and act as educator for the district's cafeteria staff.
