Alternative lunch upsets parents in La. school

Overdue lunch bills cause students to receive different lunch.

April 16—Recently the Hancock County School District, in La., started offering an alternative lunch for students who have outstanding lunch bills.

This policy is upsetting parents, who say the kids are being embarassed in front of the other students. Superintendent Alan Dedeaux admits some students are getting different meals and tells parents it is simply because the district is losing money on lunches.
