AHF adds team members

Aug. 22—The Association for Healthcare Foodservice has added two new staff members. Billye Potts is the new executive vice president and Maria Chapman is the director, communication and chapters.

Potts is a graduate of Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. She holds a master’s degree in education. Previously, Potts served as executive director of the Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA). During her tenure at ASCA, Potts provided strategic guidance and direction and was a Legacy Founding Member of the ASCA Foundation. Potts also is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and received the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) Founders Award in 2008.

Chapman has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Marshall University. She has worked in both association communication and program management capacities for the International Association of Culinary Professionals and the American Cheese Society. Most recently Chapman served as the marketing specialist and coordinated printed and email communications for AHF’s management company, FSA Management Group. In that role Chapman worked on many AHF communication vehicles, including S.O. In the Know and S.O. Connection.

In other AHF news, Trish Dever was promoted to director, public relations and social media, and Lorraine Houghton was promoted to director, sponsorship and advertising sales. Dever was public relations manager. Houghton was the sponsorship and advertising sales manager.
