We gave away 2,000 T-shirts that said “NO Waste” in green, “NO Trays” in burgundy, “Compost Happens” in brown. We had students complete a survey to receive the shirts. We wanted to promote ourselves and all the great green things that were happening. It worked; the on-campus students voted to go trayless in all our residential dining halls next year.
