At the elementary school we have a salsa garden where we grew cilantro, tomatoes and green onions. This fall we had a Maine harvest lunch and we harvested all the items. We brought in some elementary students and worked together to make the salsa for the meal the next day. The kids had all been involved so they all ate school lunch. Our participation was through the roof.
