We had a “Make Your Own Pie” event. The day before the Thanksgiving holiday began, our chef offered advice to more than 100 students on how to, using local apples, make their own apple pie so they could take it home. It was a great way to highlight the meal plan benefits and build bonding between students, parents and the dining staff, plus it promoted local produce.
