Our fifth and sixth graders had studied the election process, so we decided to throw them an Inaugural Ball. We sent out formal invitations, had decorations and lots of finger foods like wraps and vegetable and fruit trays. We also had a life-size cutout of President Obama for the kids to take pictures with. Obama was staying in the hotel across the street the night of the event.
