We celebrate Grandparents’ Day by inviting the grandparents to eat breakfast at school. We serve a special breakfast with grits, eggs, sausage, peaches and biscuits. We started this to get more students eating breakfast, and it has increased our participation. Once they eat, they like it and want to come back. Plus, it lets the grandparents know we have good meals.
