We have a Fruity Tooty Veggie Weggie Try It Day for our third graders. We do a lunch and learn, so we talk about the vegetable at lunch and then the kids can try the item. We’ve done jicama and yellow pear tomatoes. We eat lunch with the kids to talk with them, and the kids have started asking for new items following the “try it” days.
