We developed a game based on the TV show “Fear Factor.” We painted boxes with the “Fear Factor” logo and filled each box with an “unusual” food such as edamame. If students want to play they have to try whatever item is in the box. If the student tries the item we give him/her a prize. To reinforce the new items we menu them on the lunch menu the following week.
