The amount of time children have to eat lunch is a challenge when it comes to having to take x amount of fruits and vegetables and actually have time to eat them. Instead of offering preportioned cups of fruits and vegetables, perhaps go back to preportioned utensils to do self-service. That way, through offer versus serve kids can pick up only what they will eat and there might be less waste.
