We had a breakfast contest between two of our high schools to see which school’s participation would go up the most in a three-week period. We worked with the Got Milk? campaign and also with the school’s student bodies to get the word out to eat breakfast at school during those weeks. Bringing attention to our breakfast program in a way that included fun, and good-natured competition, had a positive effect on participation with positive lasting residual effects.
