We have a conference services area where we do internal and external events. We provide foodservice and staffing for these events. We found that people would forget they set up to do an internal event, but we’d still provide food for it because it was in the system. Now one of our coordinators simply reaches out a week before the event to ensure it is actually happening. It’s so simple. We started this in January and we’ve already saved $10,000 so far.
