Bill allowing whole milk in schools passes U.S. House

The Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act of 2023 passed the U.S. House of Representatives with a vote of 330-99.

Under SB 720, public and private schools that participate in the National School Lunch Program and National School Breakfast and serve students free breakfast and lunch each day would be eligible to receive additional funding from the state. 

The Child Care Nutrition Act would increase the reimbursement rates for all CACFP-eligible meals and snacks served by 10 cents.
